Participants who will be under the age of 18 on the day of the event must provide a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian at the time of registration. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is a registered participant in the Challenge and a waiver must be signed by parent or legal guardian.

Each registered participant must achieve the $250 fundraising minimum.

Note: Participants who are 5 years old and younger are free and not required to meet the fundraising minimum.

If you are unable to continue walking while on the route, one of our Birchwood sweep vehicles will transport you to the next check stop, or to the finish line. Your safety is always our first priority. Hold your arm out with your thumb down to flag a vehicle to stop. If you are unable to finish the workout raise your hand and someone will take you to a resting place.

Register for the 5km walk or as a virtual participant and complete your 20km or 200 minutes of fitness over a period of seven days (May 25-June 1). Break up the total into manageable chunks throughout the week. Plus, you can still join the opening ceremonies and walk victory road to ring the bells at the finish line on event day.

Remember: if you are unable to make it on event day, you can still make a difference by raising funds which profoundly impact CancerCare Manitoba patient outcomes. Email or call us at 204.927.LIFE (5433) for more information on becoming a virtual participant.
