I am taking the Challenge – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 17th annual Challenge for Life for my grandma whom I lost to breast cancer in 2014. She was generous, quirky, and loved me for exactly who I am. I am blessed to have had her in my life.
Being a participant also means I am committed to improving my overall health and reducing my own risk of cancer. On June 1st, I will join others who will be walking 20 kilometers (about 12.4 miles) through various Winnipeg neighborhoods. I have also committed to raising at least $1000 in the fight against cancer to help support cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, and education at CancerCare Manitoba for all Manitobans with cancer.
CancerCare Manitoba is dedicated to excellence in care, providing the latest treatments available for those diagnosed and living with cancer and blood disorders and improving cancer outcomes for all Manitobans.
Join me in the Challenge or support me with a donation! Together, we can change the course of cancer in Manitoba.
