I am taking the Challenge – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation’s 17th annual Challenge for Life – because I can!
Challenge for Life is a wonder to me – in large part because of the village of people that come together in support of thousands of Manitobans and their families affected by a cancer diagnosis. Hundreds of participants and volunteers and more than 6,000 donors ensure this Foundation is able to continue funding cancer prevention, exceptional treatment and care, as well as leading-edge research conducted by the best and brightest scientists that will ultimately lead to new discoveries, better outcomes and most importantly, more hope.
This will be the 9th year I’ve had the privilege of participating in the Challenge. I’ve both walked the 20 km and taken part in the “Work It”. Both have “challenged” me and you have generously supported me as I have reached out. I am very grateful to you and very grateful to be part of this village.
This year I am committing to raise $10,000 – in honour of the people in my life this year who are facing a new or an ongoing journey with cancer. There’s far too many of them.
If you are able to join me in the Challenge itself, or can consider a donation I know we can change the course of cancer in this province. Thank you so much.
