Fillmore Riley's Motion to Strike Cancer
Fillmore Riley’s Motion to Strike Cancer is taking the Challenge at CancerCare Manitoba's Challenge for Life — because we can!
Through our past participation in the Challenge for Life Walk and the Dragon Boat Festival, we have raised over $500,000 that went towards helping Manitobans of all ages affected by cancer.
We selected a name that’s appropriate for our profession. In court, a motion to strike is a legal motion made by a party to have an entire cause of action removed or “stricken” from the court record. Fillmore Riley’s Motion to Strike Cancer wants to see cancer stricken or eradicated so no community has to deal with the ravages of the disease.
By participating in this Manitoba-wide event, we are committed to improve our overall health and reduce our own risk of cancer. We are also challenging ourselves to help change the course of cancer in Manitoba by designing our own challenges and raising as much needed money as possible.
CancerCare Manitoba is responsible for cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education for all Manitobans.
