I am taking the Challenge – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 17th annual Challenge for Life – because I can! I'm healthy enough this year to participate because of my new chemo cocktail.

In May 2023, I was told that my Cancer had decided to move around in my body to 6 different places.  We all know that this isn’t very good news.  The CancerCare team decided that I should start a new chemo treatment that had only recently been approved.  Due to its newness, I had to sign waivers to receive this chemo.

Fast forward almost a year, now only 1 spot remains visible on scans!  The research is developing and new treatments are being made available as they emerge!  It’s an exciting time for me, full of Hope and Happiness for the future.  As the cliche says…. I’m taking the Challenge…. Because I CAN!
