I am taking the Challenge – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 17th annual Challenge for Life – because I can! 

Cancercare Manitoba is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. At the end of 2020 (because that year wasn’t enough of an ordeal), I received a dual diagnosis of Thymoma and the auto-immune disease Myasthenia Gravis. I have received chemotherapy and had three surgeries so far. Unfortunately, my fight continues. Fortunately, I have my friends, family, co-workers and Cancercare Manitoba in my corner to help me keep fighting. 
Through Cancercare Manitoba I received care and counselling, as well as the opportunity to participate in different support groups. 

This is my second year participating in the Challenge for Life. I am passionate about raising funds for Cancercare Manitoba so that they can continue providing these important services for cancer patients across the province.
