I am taking the Challenge – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 17th annual Challenge for Life – because I can!
On June 1, I will be participating in a 200 minute workout at Assiniboine Park with Team Schvesters to raise funds for CancerCare
I choose to participate in memory of my daughter Shannon on behalf of my family. Shannon was diagnosed with Non- Hodgkins Lymphoma at the of 27. Sadly, after almost 2 years of treatment with chemotherapy, radiation and bone marrow transplant, Shannon passed away. Through it all, Shannon was a brilliant light in our lives- living life to the fullest with her infectious laughter and joyful energy. As a young nurse she believed in helping others even participating in this event during the 2 years she was fighting her own battle.
I have also committed to raise at least $5000 in the fight against cancer to help support cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education at CancerCare Manitoba for all Manitobans with cancer.
CancerCare Manitoba is dedicated to excellence in care, providing the latest treatments available for those diagnosed and living with cancer and blood disorders and improving cancer outcomes for all Manitobans.
Join me in the Challenge or support me with a donation! Together, we can change the course of cancer in Manitoba.
