I am participating in the 2024 Challenge For Life as a proud member of "The Walker and The Talker Team," comprised of family members and friends of Doug Harvey and Jan Shute. We will be walking 20 kilometers on behalf of Jan and Doug, who have devoted an incredible amount of time and energy to CancerCare Manitoba over the past two decades and cannot join this year as Doug undergoes his first series of chemotherapy treatments this spring and summer. 

This will be my 1st time participating in The Challenge For Life, and I will also be walking 20k on June 1st for family members we’ve lost to cancer: Bill Johnston, Bud Smith, and Peter Luczenczyn. In addition to all those who are on a cancer journey, all those we've lost to cancer and the millions of people who have had their lives impacted by cancer in one way or another.

I have also committed to raising at least $250 in the fight against cancer to help support cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research, and education at CancerCare Manitoba for all Manitobans with cancer.
