I am taking the Challenge for my 17th year – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 17th annual Challenge for Life – because I still can!
Most of you know my story. I was diagnosed when I was 47 years old, Through many surgeries, chemo and radiations, I have, to this date, defeated cancer.
I am extremely optimistic and my cup is always half full.
Cancer has taught me a lot about myself….good and bad….and by volunteering at Cancercare Manitoba I try to help others going through their diagnosis, surgeries, treatments and recovery.
Being a participant in this event means I am committed to improve my overall health and reduce my own risk of cancer returning. I have also committed to raise at least $12,000.00 in the fight against cancer to help support cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education at CancerCare Manitoba for all Manitobans with cancer.
CancerCare Manitoba is dedicated to excellence in care, providing the latest treatments available for those diagnosed and living with cancer and blood disorders and improving cancer outcomes for all Manitobans.
Join me and our team SCHVESTERS in the Challenge or support me with a donation! Together, we can change the course of cancer in Manitoba.
