I am participating in the 2024 Challenge For Life as a proud member of The Walker and The Talker team which is led by Doug Harvey and Jan Shute. A few of my dear pals have stepped up to join our team and walk the 20k with me as Doug and Jan are not able to attend this year.

As many of you know, Doug has been on his cancer journey for over 9 years now and recently began the most challenging part of his journey to date. On March 25th, Doug underwent his first of 10 rounds of chemotherapy which will span over 30 weeks in total. It's been a difficult first month of treatment for Doug and Jan but they've handled it with courage, bravery, optimism and a "never give up" attitude. Of course with Doug, there's been some humor mixed in there as well.

This will be my 5th time participating in The Challenge For Life and as always I'll be walking 20k on June 1st for Doug and all those who are on a cancer journey, all those we've lost to cancer and the millions of people who have had their lives impacted by cancer in one way or another.
