This started for me when the Challenge for Life was invented.  My wife Sharon, who passed away in 2012, was looking cancer in the eye and keeping it at bay.  I realized what incredible support she was receiving from from CancerCare Manitoba and I am committed to this world class organization of docs, nurses, scientists, techs and volunteers.  Two best friends, Robie and Marla, have died after much briefer battles and I am aware of way too many people living with their cancer.  Today the incentive to join in the cause to get rid of cancer is everywhere I look.

Being a participant means I am committed to improve my overall health and reduce my own risk of cancer. I have also committed to raise at least $250 in the fight against cancer to help support cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education at CancerCare Manitoba for all Manitobans with cancer.
