I am taking the 20 klm Challenge once again – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 16th annual Challenge for Life – because I can!
Being a participant means a lot to me.
We have lost so many family members and friends to this disease and I am taking the challenge to support those still fighting. I have also committed to raise at least $6,000 in the fight against cancer to help support cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education at CancerCare Manitoba for ALL Manitobans with cancer.
I have been a volunteer at CancerCare Manitoba for the last 14 years.
I used to wonder WHY I got cancer (first in our immediate family) and then I came to the realization WHY NOT ME. Cancer touches everyone one way or the other. It has taught me so many lessons in life; to appreciate the small things, listen and be supportive of other peoples’ feelings and that the cup is always half full.
Join me and our team SCHVESTERS in the Challenge or support me with a donation! Together, we can change the course of cancer in Manitoba.
