Challenge for Life 2.0 brings you Walk It for 20k or Work It for 200 non-continuous minutes of fitness!

Enjoy a 20 kilometre walk beginning and ending at Assiniboine Park and travelling through some of Winnipeg's most beautiful and historic neighbourhoods.

Challenge your family, friends and colleagues to maximize your fundraising. Strive to pass the $500 fundraising requirement! It will make such a tremendous difference to our province’s cancer patients. Back for its third year is Work It! You will Work It for 200 non-continuous minutes of aerobics to CrossFit to yoga and everything in between.

Join fellow Manitobans in the workout or walk of your life, reduce your personal risk of cancer, and bring awareness to the work being done at CancerCare Manitoba on behalf of Manitobans living with all cancers.

Walk It and Work It participant arrival
7:30 a.m.
Participation check-in and breakfast tents open

Enjoy a LIVE performance on the Lyric Stage during check-in and breakfast.

7:30 - 8:15 a.m.
Grab your teammates for a group picture in our Challenge photobooth!

Opening Ceremonies
8:30 a.m. at Lyric Stage
LIVE performance


Warm It up!
8:45 a.m.
All participants will Warm It up! together with LIVE music.

Walk It participants: follow the orange flags to the front of the Pavilion to start your walk!
Work It participants: follow LIVE entertainment accross the field to the Work It tent!

Stretch: It's a SNAP!

Want to avoid muscle stiffness after your walk or workout? Come join the fun and friendly staff from the SNAP Fitness, at the Work-It tent for a quick and easy instructor lead stretch session. Your body will thank you for it!


Why Stretch?
Stretching after exercise, especially long periods of exercise like the Challenge for Life Events, can help bring your muscles back to their original state, avoid muscle cramps and relieve muscle and join stiffness.


Closing Ceremonies
2 p.m. at Lyric Stage
The closing ceremonies are a joyful, meaningful celebration that provides an opportunity for all to reflect on what brought us here and what Challenge for Life means for all Manitobans.
