Some of the kids you are helping

All funds raised in the Ride Inside stay in Manitoba to make a difference for kids with cancer, including those facing some of the most difficult to treat cancers.

Hazel

Hazel is 7 years old. Seeing her in this photo, you may not know she is sick but less than one year ago, she was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumour that has no cure.

From experiencing dizzy spells, clumsiness, and tiredness back in January, today she functions at almost 100% back to normal thanks to her treatment. It’s temporary, but it’s given her more time to enjoy life with her family.

When you register and fundraise in the Ride Inside, you will be raising critical funds to advance treatments and research at CancerCare Manitoba to help Manitoba kids with cancer - including those like Hazel who are facing some of the most difficult to treat cancers. YOU will be giving them, and their families, hope.

Brody

More than 50 children will be diagnosed with cancer in Manitoba this year and over 80% will be cured. This is an incredible accomplishment and gives us great reason to hope. But can you imagine being one of the families that fall into the 20% who might not survive? YOU can be part of the community that helps move this number to 100% so one day, no child has to lose their life to cancer.

Did you know... that young people going through cancer treatments can receive bravery beads? There is one bead representing each type of treatment or test they’ve gone through. Kids just like Brody.
