February is Cholangiocarcinoma Awareness Month and February 20th is World Cholangiocarcinoma Day! 

Please join the Manitoba Cholagiocarcinoma Community on February 20th at the (east side) foot of Esplanade Riel Bridge at 6:30pm to celebrate Light it #GreenforCCA. The bridge will be lit green in honour of this special day! We will gather to share stories, warm up with hot chocolate, and take a group photo to celebrate our community!

Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), bile duct cancer, is a rare and aggressive cancer. There are no screening tools and the treatment options are limited and often ineffective. Precision oncology changes the landscape for patients with such cancers. Access to molecular testing, targeted drug therapies, and clinical trials here in Manitoba has the potential to offer patients less invasive treatments, less adverse side effects, life-prolonging treatments, and, most importantly, HOPE!

Light it #GreenforCCA is an event to  raise awareness of CCA as well as funds to support important precision oncology research and care right here in Manitoba. Our goal is to ensure that Manitobans affected by CCA and as well as all other cancers have access to community supports and personalized cancer care.

CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is the only organization exclusively fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba. While CancerCare Manitoba works in partnership with Manitoba Health, some programs and services may not be eligible for government funding. CancerCare Manitoba Foundation raises funds to bridge this gap and help deliver the best research, patient care, treatment and support for all Manitobans and their families living with cancer.
