Welcome to My Personal Page
I’m incredibly proud to be part of the amazing running community here in Winnipeg. This city is home to some of the most supportive, inspiring, and fun-loving runners I’ve ever met, and I’ve been so fortunate to share the road with many of them. Running has been transformative for me—not just physically but mentally. It’s a space where I’ve found clarity, resilience, and a sense of peace that has helped me navigate life’s challenges.
Now, I have the chance to take something that has given me so much and use it to give back. This year, I’m honored to be fundraising for Run Your Lungs Out in support of the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is the only charitable organization exclusively fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba. While CancerCare Manitoba works in partnership with Manitoba Health, many critical programs and services rely on donations to ensure they can continue to support patients and their families.
Every year, more than 6,000 Manitobans are diagnosed with cancer. That’s 6,000 individuals and countless loved ones whose lives are impacted. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you’re helping CancerCare Manitoba Foundation provide the best research, care, treatment, and support. Together, we can make sure they’re ready for the estimated 50% increase in cancer diagnoses over the next decade.
This cause is personal to me because it combines two things I’m passionate about: the power of community and making a positive impact. Running has always been a way to connect—with myself, with others, and now, with this mission to support Manitobans living with cancer.
Whether you’re a fellow runner, a supporter, or just someone looking to make a difference, every donation—big or small—makes an impact. Together, we can help CancerCare Manitoba continue its life-changing work and bring hope to families across our province.
This year, I have committed myself to run on Treadmill 4 for 2hours starting at 10pm. Should be easy enough to do with so much entertainment around.
Thank you so much for considering supporting me in this effort. Let’s run together for a brighter future!
With gratitude, Bryce Desender
