In memory of Dr. Michael Mulvey
I am committed to making a difference. I am proud to be fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and am asking for your support in helping me reach my goal.
On August 29th, 2023 I lost a friend and mentor, Dr. Michael Richard Mulvey, after a long battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, a request was made for donations to CancerCare Manitoba.
It is my hope that I can honor his memory and raise funds to increase the supports provided by CancerCare Manitoba.
I intend to donate my hair, beard, and potentially also my eyebrows to raising funds in his memory. For each $5 donated, I will provide 1 second of hair clipping to the donator (with exception of eyebrows). Any donation of $100 or more will be eligible to shave an eyebrow. The shaving will take place at JCWIDRC, and I will proudly wear my haircut for the entirety of the business day.
Each year more than 6,000 Manitobans receive a cancer diagnosis. Your continued support helps CancerCare Manitoba and its partners prepare for an estimated 50% increase in the number of people diagnosed and living with cancer over the next decade.
By supporting me with a donation, you are helping to support CancerCare Manitoba in its work to change lives and change the course of cancer in our province, and also to honor the memory of our dear friend and colleague, Mike Mulvey.
Thank you for your support.
