I am taking the Challenge – CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 15th annual Challenge for Life – because I can!
As most of you know I am a cancer survivor!!!!
I can’t believe it has been 15 years but I am loving and embracing every precious moment.
My first year of many surgeries, treatments, hospital stays in isolation, was the hardest thing I had to overcome to survive. Cancer effected me physically, emotionally and mentally. I was the one going through the treatments but my family was going through cancer as well (mentally and emotionally). I have learned through my journey just how strong a person and family can be.
I have lost so many family members, friends and teammates to this disease and I still have two very close friends (Billie and Bev) fighting the fight.
Cancer is not picky however it chose the wrong person. I will never let cancer define me!
