Jason's Journey

Welcome to the "Jason's Journey" Challenge for Life Team Page!

Together, we are taking the Challenge - CancerCare Manitoba's Challenge for Life !

Our team captain, Jason Gisser, is a 36-year old Winnipegger who has fought cancer for a number of years. This year, he's serving as an Ambassador for the Challenge for Life, taking place from August 5 to 17, 2021. We are committing to each complete 20 km (walk, run, bike, etc.) or complete 200 minutes of exercise over the 12 days of the Challenge for Life (while observing social distancing).  We are also committing to each raise at least $250 to support CancerCare Manitoba and all of Jason's fellow cancer fighters.

Our goal in participating in this amazing event is to bring awareness to the struggles that cancer fighters like Jason have had to endure, and to raise funds in order to ensure that no one has to experience those struggles ever again!

Join us in the Challenge – by registering yourself, committing to raise at least $250, and choosing your workout to reach 200 minutes of fitness or 20 km, or by supporting our team with a donation. We also encourage you to join the Jason's Journey team. Together, our journey will change the course of cancer in our province!

CancerCare Manitoba is the provincially mandated cancer agency for all of Manitoba, responsible for cancer prevention, detection, treatment, research and education. CancerCare Manitoba is dedicated to excellence in cancer care, enhancing the quality of life of those diagnosed and living with cancer and blood disorders and improving cancer control for all Manitobans.

CancerCare Manitoba Foundation’s mission, in partnership with its donors, is to support CancerCare’s strategic priorities. Donor contributions help bridge the gap of initiatives and programs not eligible for government funding or where financial resources are not available. This support to CancerCare Manitoba profoundly impacts patient outcomes.
