Cancer Care Manitoba

2019 Community Event - All Cancers

Dr Dale Iwanoczko Community Oncology Education Award Fund

Dr. Dale Iwanoczko passed away on September 15, 1998, after a year-long battle with cancer.

Shortly after his passing, friends and colleagues of Dale’s got together to raise funds in Dale’s name by hosting an annual golf tournament….for 20 years.

CREATING A LEGACY
In recognition and celebration of Dale’s deep love of sport, this tremendous event helped raise over $200,000, funds which have been used to make a difference in the lives of young athletes in Manitoba graduating from high school and entering universities and colleges.

EXPANDING THE LEGACY EVEN FURTHER
Dale’s friends, colleagues and family are extremely excited to share with you the opportunity to invest in another strategic partnership, this time with CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

This will be possible because of the ongoing support of Dale's friends and family who have shared in this from the beginning. His memory will live on and continue to change lives through the growth of the scholarship funds and Dale's continued legacy.

“We are thrilled to expand Dale's legacy into another area that played such an important role in his life – the medical/healthcare community and particularly the investment into clinicians delivering care to oncology patients outside of Winnipeg”.
