Friends and Family
Friends and Family,
Its not just a salutation, but rather its an all encompassing group of people that have been affected by this terrible disease. in the last couple of years alone, I have seen my family, one of my oldest and dearest friends with Breast Cancer, another friend of about 10 years affected by Breast Cancer and one of my colleagues at work (who I consider a friend) affected. Through surgeries, Chemo treatments, radiation treatments Cancercare MB has become something that I have a great deal more respect for. I used to think of it as just another cog in the Health Care wheel (that I don't have a lot of respect for). it isn't. the people that work there, and the treatment people get while under care are unbeleiveable. When things hit close to home, we all have a choice to make. We can continue to sit on the sidelines and hope and wish for things to get better, or we can take a step forward and try and do something to help. Linda and I are going to ride on June 3rd to help raise funds in the Breast Cancer Pledge Ride. I hope you can see your way clear to support us in this great endeavour.
I am committed to making a difference. I am proud to be participating in the Breast Cancer Pledge Ride and fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and am asking for your support in helping me reach my goal.
CancerCare Manitoba Foundation is the only organization exclusively fundraising for CancerCare Manitoba. While CancerCare Manitoba works in partnership with Manitoba Health, some programs and services may not be eligible for government funding. CancerCare Manitoba Foundation raises funds to bridge this gap and help deliver the best research, patient care, treatment and support for all Manitobans and their families living with cancer.
Each year more than 6,000 Manitobans receive a cancer diagnosis. Your continued support helps CancerCare Manitoba and its partners prepare for an estimated 50 per cent increase in the number of people diagnosed and living with cancer over the next decade.
By supporting me with a donation, you are helping to support CancerCare Manitoba in its work to change lives and change the course of cancer in our province.
Every donation - no matter the size - is critical as we work together to stay ahead of this disease.
Thank you for your consideration.
