We are participating in the 2019 RIDE INSIDE in support of the CancerCare Manitoba. Sadly, every year approximately 50 – 60 families in Manitoba will hear the words “your child has cancer.

Every year approximately 50 – 60 families in Manitoba will hear the words “your child has cancer.” With you in their corner, their chances for a positive outcome are better than ever before. Prior to 1970, less than 20% of children and adolescents with cancer survived. Now, thanks to participants like you raising funds for research and pediatric clinical trials, over 80% will survive their diagnoses. This is incredible progress BUT we still really need your help to be the generation that brings this to 100%.

However, the challenge remains for the remaining 20 percent of patients whose cancers have spread, returned, or proven resistant to treatment. For this 20 percent, outcomes remain dire. PROFYLE (PRecision Oncology For Young PeopLE) is a pan-Canadian initiative for children and young adults who are told they are out of treatment options. PROFYLE is a ground-breaking approach to treating these cancer cases.
