Between 50 to 60 children will be diagnosed with cancer in Manitoba this year and over 80% will be cured compared to less than 20% in the 1970’s. All funds raised at The Ride Inside will support PROFYLE at CancerCare Manitoba. Short for PRecision Oncology For Young peopLE, this initiative gives children, adolescents and young adults who are out of conventional treatment options another chance to beat their cancer.

PROFYLE is a pan-Canadian project which CancerCare Manitoba and the Foundation are part of. It focuses on providing personalized care for children, adolescents and young adults – up to age 29 – with rare and difficult-to-treat cancers. It offers patients who haven't had a positive outcome with conventional cancer treatment other options.

CancerCare Manitoba Foundation has committed to raising $1 million over five years in support of CancerCare Manitoba’s participation in PROFYLE. The funds raised at this RIDE INSIDE will be dedicated to this $1 M commitment.

All funds raised support an internationally-recognized team of health professionals at CancerCare Manitoba who provide outstanding care for patients and their families throughout Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario and Nunavut dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Our mission, in partnership with our donors, is to support CancerCare’s strategic priorities. Your generosity enables the Foundation to maximize the funds provided to CancerCare Manitoba each year. Donor contributions help bridge the gap of initiatives and programs not eligible for government funding or where financial resources aren’t available, including prevention, early detection, clinical trials and leading-edge research and treatment.
