I am taking the Challenge! CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's 11th Annual Challenge for Life – because I can!
For the 11th year, I will walk 20 kilometres through the streets of Winnipeg with hundreds of other women and men. The net proceeds will support all types of cancer research, treatment, and services through the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. All funds support Manitobans and their families living with cancer.
I am taking the Challenge to support my sister Tara and in memory of my cousin Jackie and many other family members and friends touched by cancer. Recent statistics tell us that half of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our life. This is a daunting forecast which reinforces the importance of the funds raised every year at the Challenge for Life.
I've agreed to raise at least $2,000, so I need your help. Would you please consider making a donation of $100, $50 or any other amount? A tax receipt will be issued to you. Use the link at the bottom of this email, and go visit my personal web page, and please take the time to support me.
CancerCare Manitoba is committed to addressing the complexity, cost of treatments and economic impact of this new reality. As well as being an integral part of the patient journey – providing essential services and supports - for individuals and their families, during and following treatment.
By participating in this “Made-in-Manitoba” event, I have committed to help reduce my risk of cancer by taking steps to improve my overall health. I am also committing to raise at least $2,000 to support CancerCare Manitoba - and all those who cannot walk.
Join me in the Challenge – either by registering to Walk It or Work It or by supporting me with a donation. We'll do it together.... because we can!
