Once again, I am taking the Challenge – CancerCare Manitoba's 2019 Challenge for Life – because I can!
By participating in this 12th annual “Made-in-Manitoba” event, I have committed to help reduce my own risk of cancer by taking steps to improve my overall health. I am also committing to raise at least $1,000 to support CancerCare Manitoba - and all those who cannot walk.
I am walking in honour of each of you - especially my sister Tara, a survivor, and in memory of my cousin Jackie, and on behalf of many family and friends. In my 15 years working at CancerCare Manitoba Foundation I know we are making a difference. I hope to create more tomorrows for people now, and to help change the future to a world without cancer for everyone.
CancerCare Manitoba’s goal is to prevent every cancer we can; those we cannot prevent we strive to detect early and those we do not detect early, we treat with the best available options. CancerCare Manitoba is committed to continuous learning and improvement through world-class research.
While CancerCare Manitoba works in partnership with Manitoba Health, some programs and services may not be eligible for government funding. CancerCare Manitoba Foundation raises funds to bridge this gap and help deliver the best research, patient care, treatment and support for all Manitobans and their families living with cancer.
Join me in the Challenge – either by registering to walk or supporting me with a donation. We'll do it together.... because we can! Thank you so much for your consideration and support.
