2016 A Gold-Plated Evening
On Tuesday, April 12, 2016, over 800 prominent Manitobans will come together at the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg for the 8th bi-annual Gold-Plated Evening for men's cancer. One of CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's signature fundraising events, the Gold-Plated Evening will feature an elegant dinner, entertainment and amazing auction prizes.
We are so fortunate to have Doug Harvey - highly respected business and community leader, outstanding philanthropist and the definition of a true Winnipegger - as the keynote speaker. Please mark your calendars - this is an event you don't want to miss!
A cancer diagnosis is overwhelming for the patient and his family. While advances have been made for the top three cancers affecting men - prostate, lung and colorectal - so much more can be done to increase survival rates. The Gold-Plated Evening committee's spirit and determination is making a tremendous difference. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $1.6 million to support advancements in prevention, early detection, research and patient care in support of all men’s cancers.
The need is great and CancerCare Manitoba is counting on us to be part of the solution. Your investment will help men and families facing the disease now and also prevent cancer for future generations.
